Common Questions
Can I swap pins and fit a different tag?
While not recommended by manufacturers, in some cases it may be possible to use one tag brand with a suitable pin in a different applicator. Sometimes this may be deployed in an emergency situation. If you decide to do so it is imperative that the pin (needle) is from the correct tag brand to match the tag. After fitting, check the alignment of the male with the female and check that the female part is seated correctly. Proceed with caution.
Can I fit NAIT tags and management tags with the same plier?
With certain brands the applicator may be supplied with multiple plastic inserts for the female side of the applicator. These allow bit the visual (management) tag and NAIT tag to seat correctly. Usually two separate applicators are recommended, which also ensures speed of application. Where switching between Visual and NAIT tags it is imperative to ensure the correct plastic insert has been fitted and that the female tag sits correctly in the applicator.
Can I get a FREE Applicator?
It’s the age old question! As costs have increased, free applicators are rarely available from tag manufacturers.
